Photos from the 19th Iceman Cometh Challenge

We were up for the 19th running of the Iceman Cometh Challenge November 8th, 2008 in Traverse City, Michigan. It was another warm "iceman" but we did get to see a little snow furries and some hail.

Between my team and I, we shot 12,991 photos. Now it's time to sort through them. My favorite from the weekend is the battle between 2nd and 3rd place right at the finish for the women Pro/Expert class.

Heather Irmiger (left) fights for second place held by Susan Stephens

Heather Irmiger riding for Gary Fisher and Subaru (left) tries for second place at the 19th running of The Iceman Cometh Challenge. Susan Stephens riding for Brodie Bikes is able to keep her slight lead to secure 2nd place. The Iceman Cometh Challenge is a 27 mile point-to-point mountain bike race from Kalkaska to Traverse City, Michigan.

Thanks you Steve Brown for the great backdrops this year!

Thanks for coming out to cover the event. I and my Wolerine teammates (about 20) would be interested in checking out your photos

I hope to have them up this week. I sorted through the photos and I am working on adding the timing data to them and adding them to the site.

I don't believe it ...... 8000+ photos and only shots (from a bad angle) at the finish. With a great backdrop and you can only get side shots. Steve Brown PLEASE get a new photographer next year.

Who was taking pics around the middle of the course at the short steep left hand downhill??It seemed like a great place to get some really good shots. I saw a photographer there as i rode through but i cannot find photos posted anywhere. ??
